Check a roll

A roll is HMAC-SHA256(server seed, "<client seed>:<nonce>:<round>"). The hash of the server seed is published before the roll. After /fair rotate, paste the revealed server seed, your client seed, the nonce, and the round. The same numbers come back. Mapper samples each start over at that round, so a single die is the d6 line.

Pasted seeds stay in this page. A roll lookup requests that public roll from this site. A beacon check requests that round from drand.

Two-player roll or shared event

Look up a public roll

This works after the server seed is revealed, and for a shared event once its link is published. Your own hidden rolls stay on /fair verify in Discord.

Check a chain link

sha256 of a revealed event seed is the previous link. For the first event, that previous link is the published terminal hash.

Walk a chain from its root

When a chain is finished, the root is revealed. Index 1 is the first event. This walks sha256 from the root to that index.

Check a beacon round

Shared events can mix in a drand quicknet round. This asks the public drand API for that round. It does not send your seeds.
